Young Fiddlers/Violinists who are new to the instrument will start with Wee Violin! ​

Through my Suzuki contacts, I was lucky enough to meet and take training with Crystal Boyack, whose method, Wee Violin, is the perfect introduction to the LFIM materials. Learning to first play the violin (or fiddle--they are the same!) as a young child is such a special time, and Wee Violin creator Crystal Boyack has put together a thoughtful collection of world music that celebrates this unique journey! For very young beginners, I use this brilliant set of resources which I’ve adapted by adding some Irish melodies to make up Wee Irish. Once students are ready to begin “Twinkle,” they transition into the LFIM sequence. Current students can access the practice playlists, which include the Irish melodies I use, through the 'Wee Irish' button above, and should purchase the book with recordings from Wee Violin for lessons.
